The Big Event

The Big Event is opportunity for neighborhood volunteers to work alongside OU-student volunteers ensuring that our community’s shared spaces are well-loved and maintained. 

No matter the weather, every year student volunteers perform volunteer work one Saturday in the spring.  Crown Heights-Edgemere Heights has historically been a recipient of many student volunteers.  The day is filled with weed pulling, tree planting, and pruning, raking, and creek sweeping.

The more volunteers the merrier! Please come out and join us this year. Lunch is regularly provided by Claudia San Pedro and Sonic.
